Two women have been sentenced to 15 years in prison after stealing multiple credit cards from unsuspecting shoppers and then going on a shopping spree with the stolen cards.

WLBT in Jackson reports that Sylyndrell Pugh and Samantha Wilson were each sentenced to 15 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections for their crimes of identity theft.

Police identified and located the vehicle the two women were traveling in. During a traffic stop of the vehicle, officers searched the vehicle and found several items of new merchandise from Belk and Target. They also found purchase receipts, several gift cards, marijuana, and a wallet that did not belong to the suspects.

Officers did find the reported stolen credit card. Both women were arrested and taken into custody.

Soon after, officers determined, using store surveillance video, that indicated that the two women were responsible for several other credit card thefts at a local grocery store.
