One person was killed, and two minors were injured in a three-vehicle accident Monday morning.

The wreck occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 55 near Fortification Street in Jackson.

Two minors were taken to the hospital with injuries. Other people involved in the wreck reportedly did not receive serious injuries.

The incident was handled by the Capitol Police in Jackson and is being investigated by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
