Mississippi Skies: Storms in the morning before weather pattern changes

A strong front is moving through and the chance for thunderstorms will hang around, ending early in the north and later in the day towards the Gulf Coast. A few storms could be strong to severe, especially in the morning.

Once we get this system out of the way, our weather improves immediately. Some of us will have some sunshine later Tuesday. Temperatures will cool a few degrees for a couple of days, then begin warming. Right now, it looks like Easter will be sunny and warm with some of us going into the 80s.

Rain ending in the morning. Becoming sunny with a high of 66. Mostly clear Tuesday night with a low of 38.

Central Mississippi

Rain and storms in the morning. A storm or two could be severe. Becoming mostly sunny with a high of 70. Clear overnight with a low of 42.

South Mississippi

A few showers and storms in the morning. Some of the storms could be severe. Becoming sunny with a high of 75. Clear Tuesday night with a low of 47.

Gulf Coast

Showers and thunderstorms in the morning. A storm or two could be severe. High of 80. Becoming clear overnight with a low of 53.
