A Mississippi police department arrested a man for allegedly possessing a counterfeit bank note.

The Tupelo Police Department served a Lee County Circuit Court Capias Warrant Sunday on Shealyn N. Richmond, 59, of Pontotoc for Possession of Counterfeit Bank Note or Other Instrument with Intention to Utter. This warrant is pertaining to a 2022 report in which a suspect was found to be in possession of a fraudulent check.

Richmond was ordered to be held without bond by Lee County Circuit Court at the time the capias was issued.

This case is awaiting trial in Lee County Circuit Court.
