In one Mississippi small town, competing for just one single national award will not suffice. The folks in Oxford Mississippi are instead going after three titles in the annual USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Visit Oxford MS has announced that Oxford has recently been nominated “Best Public Square,” “Best Small College Town” and “Best Small Town Food Scene” in the country.
Voting is open now and can be submitted once per category, per day. Readers across the country can vote for Oxford using the following links:
- Best Small College Town – open until noon on Monday, April 1
- Best Small Town Food Scene – open until noon on Monday, April 1
- Best Public Square – open until noon on Monday, April 8
“We’re excited to receive not just one, but three nominations for this national award,” said Kinney Ferris, executive director of Visit Oxford MS. “These prestigious nominations are a testament to all that Oxford has to offer, from truly incredible restaurants to a lively town square.”
Nominees for all categories are chosen by a panel of relevant experts who are a combination of editors from USA TODAY, editors from 10Best.com and others.
Known for its “original and experiential travel content developed by local travel experts,” 10best.com reports it is “a leading source for top attractions, things to see and do, and restaurants for destinations in the U.S. and around the world.”
Oxford is among only 20 other nominees for these prestigious awards, and it needs your support to take home first place.
Voting is open until April 1 for Best Small College Town and Best Small Town Food Scene and until April 8 for Best Public Square.
