Mississippi Skies: Next round of severe weather is in the forecast
Published 2:15 am Saturday, March 30, 2024
We have a better idea of the storm potential next week, but we’re going to have a fantastic weekend first.
Saturday will be sunny with highs in the 70s. Sunday will have some clouds moving in, but we’ll remain dry for Easter services and egg hunts. There will be some humidity and temperatures in the lower 80s, so it definitely won’t be as comfortable outside as Saturday.
Monday will arrive with more clouds, but rain should hold off until overnight Monday and Tuesday. Although we’ll all have a chance for some strong storms, the majority of the severe weather should remain in northeastern Mississippi.
Our forecast can change this many days out, so we’ll keep an eye on forecast models and Storm Prediction Center outlooks.
