Man hiding since he missed court in February finally captured by Mississippi officers

In the February term of Circuit Court in Lowndes County, 33-year-old defendant Christopher Reshad Rice was found guilty in a two-day trial on three charges of drug trafficking.

On the second day of this trial, Rice did not show up to court and the case was tried in his absence.

Rice was found guilty on all three charges and has been on the run until Wednesday.

Christopher Rice was found in Columbus by the Lowndes County Narcotics STING unit and is in now in custody. Rice will be held at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center until the next term of court in Lowndes County where he will be sentenced in front of Judge Michelle Easterling.
