A Mississippi man stands accused of voyeurism after allegedly spying on a woman as she changed clothes in a store dressing room.
Jamerious Funchess, 24, of Kosciusko, was apprehended by authorities following the unsettling encounter.
According to reports, an unidentified female shopper raised the alarm after suspecting someone was peering over the dressing room partitions while she tried on clothes at a Target in Flowood. The victim described hearing peculiar sounds emanating from an adjacent stall. Upon investigating, she claimed to have spotted a man leering over the partition, fixated on her.
The perpetrator reportedly fled the scene, dashing out of the dressing room and exiting the store before authorities arrived. Witnesses reportedly managed to capture a photograph of the suspect’s vehicle and its license plate.
Following an investigation by Flowood police officers, Funchess was identified as the prime suspect. At least three witnesses confirmed Funchess as the male running out of the dressing room, according to police.
Funchess surrendered himself to authorities on Friday.
He now faces charges of felony voyeurism and is being held at the Rankin County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
