Mississippi man on bond for aggravated domestic violence picks up another charge against another alleged victim

The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department responded to a domestic violence situation on County Road 7030 Monday. Upon their arrival, they made contact with a female that stated she and the suspect had been arguing. The suspect had a firearm in his possession. He allegedly fired one shot into the kitchen floor near where she stated she was standing. Then a second shot was fired.

The suspect, Thomas Leon Bozek, 55, of Booneville, was later found in the woods behind his residence. He was placed under arrest and charged with Aggravated Domestic Violence.

Justice Court Judge Ray Hall set the bond at $50,000.00.

Bozek was out on bond from a previous Aggravated Domestic Violence from a previous relationship. He remains in custody currently. Investigators and deputies recovered a handgun the suspect had in his possession when he was taken into custody along with additional firearms from the residence.

“This was a very tense situation and fortunately no one was seriously hurt,” a statement posted to the department’s social media account reads.

The case will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury by Investigator Torie Jumper.
