Mississippi man reportedly takes aim at officers with his vehicle after traffic stop

Mississippi authorities are on the hunt for a man who attempted to use his vehicle as as a weapon against law enforcement officers before making a daring escape.

Crystal Springs Police are looking for Demarionta’ Wilson, 20, following an alarming encounter on Saturday, April 13. According to reports, Wilson, a resident of Crystal Springs, targeted officers with his vehicle during an incident that occurred during a routine traffic stop in the 500 block of West Railroad Avenue.

Officers had reportedly pulled over Wilson and an unidentified passenger for a traffic violation. The situation quickly escalated when officers reportedly discovered a controlled substance in Wilson’s possession.

Refusing to comply, Wilson purportedly fled the scene, endangering the lives of officers in the process. To evade capture, Wilson allegedly targeted officers with his vehicle, striking the front of a patrol car before speeding off down West Railroad Avenue. A pursuit ensued, culminating in a collision at the intersection of West Railroad Avenue and North Pat Harrison Drive. One officer sustained minor injuries and was promptly treated at a local hospital before being discharged.

Facing charges, including two counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement officers and felony fleeing, Wilson is now at large.
