Mississippi authorities have launched an investigation after two people were found dead inside house early Saturday morning.

WAPT News in Jackson reports that a Jackson police officer discovered the bodies of a man and woman inside a house on Belvedere Drive at approximately 3 a.m. on April 20.

JPD officials say that both the man and woman suffered from gunshot wounds.

A person inside the house reportedly called and alerted police.

The identities of the victims have not been revealed and no arrests have been made in the case.
