Mississippi woman arrested after victim with police escort reportedly found property, cash missing

A Mississippi woman is under arrest after a person called the police to help them retrieve their property but found some of their property missing.

The Oxford Police Department arrested Tonya Murphree, 56, of Oxford, and charged her with Grand Larceny.

On April 9th, officers responded to a a request for and escort at a local residence while the caller retrieved property.

While at the residence with police, the caller noticed that some property and currency was missing.

After an investigation, Murphree was arrested in the case. Murphree was taken before a Municipal Court judge for her initial bond hearing and issued a $7,500 bond.
