Police searching for man who punched Mississippi shopper in face, stole purse while walking back to car

Police are searching for a man who reportedly punched in the face a woman as she was walking to her car and then stole her purse.
Jackson Police say the incident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. Monday on Ridgewood Court near East County Line Road.
Police say the 55-year-old woman was walking to her car from shopping in a Jackson strip mall when she was assaulted.
Police have not released a description of the suspect and continue investigating the incident.
