Three juveniles identified, charged with calling in bomb threat to Mississippi high school

Three juveniles have been identified and charged with making a bomb threat to a Mississippi high school.

On Wednesday, the Lafayette County Criminal Investigations Unit was notified regarding a bomb threat that was called into the Lafayette High School Office.

Investigators responded to the school and began working with School Administrators by taking the proper safety measures to ensure the safety of the students.

Once it was determined that the area was safe, investigators began investigating the threat.

During the investigation, Investigators traced the phone call to the owner of the phone and determined that a juvenile suspect made the call.

The juvenile was located and taken to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.

The parents of the juvenile were contacted and advised of the situation.

After conducting a thorough investigation, it was determined that three juvenile males were responsible for the threat made to the school.

It was also discovered that there were several other calls made to local schools. These schools were contacted and advised of the information that investigators were able to gather from speaking to individuals involved.

The three juvenile suspects were charged with making terrorist threats in the Lafayette County Youth Court. Due to the suspects being minors, their names are being withheld.
