The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations is investigating an officer-involved shooting at a Mississippi aprtment complex.

The incident happened Saturday at Ridgeland Place Apartments near Williams Boulevard.

MBI says Ridgeland police responded to a call for service in the area, and when police arrived, one person reportedly shot at officers.

The agency says officers fired back, and the suspect was hit.

MBI says that the person was taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The officers were not injured. This is under investigation.
