Fight at Mexican restaurant ends with Mississippi man’s arrest on drug charges

A fight at a Mexican restaurant ended with a Mississippi man in jail on drug charges.

Officials with the Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) said Jamie Woods, 40, of Vicksburg, was arrested Sunday night after a fight broke out at El Sombrero Restaurant on Cypress Center Drive.

“Officers were dispatched there for a fight call,” VPD said. “Woods was in possession of methamphetamine, powder cocaine, and crack cocaine.”

Woods appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court Monday in front of Judge Allen Derivaux, facing charges of possession of cocaine and possession of methamphetamine. He received a $20,000 bond and was bound to the Warren County Grand Jury.
