Two drug busts in Mississippi small town result in seizure of $7,500 in cash, drugs

On Friday, May 3, officers with the Brookhaven Police Department’s Special Response Team and Criminal Investigations Division conducted a special operation that resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and related money.
Sixty dosage units and 808 grams of illegal controlled substances, in addition to related cash with a total value of approximately $7,500 was seized and removed from the streets of Brookhaven in two busts.
“I want to thank each officer that took part in this operation,” said Chief Kenneth Collins. “My officers put in countless hours serving the citizens of Brookhaven, keeping everyone and the streets safe.”
Arrested were Robert Maurice Wilcher, 34, of 857 Lewis Drive, and 33-year-old Lorenzo White, of 721 Old Brook Road. Wilcher was charged with six counts of felony possession of controlled substance, simple assault by menace or fear, and served with a city warrant. White was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and served with a city warrant.
