More than 40,000 customers are without power after strong storms moved across south Mississippi Monday morning.

The website indicates that most outages are in Jefferson, Adams, Claiborne, Franklin, Lincoln, and Lawrence counties.

As of 8 a.m., Entergy and other power providers in south Mississippi report that more than 40,000 are without power.
