A 66-year-old Mississippi woman was hit and killed while trying to walk across the road.
Officials with the Rankin County Coroner’s Office identified Geraldine Coyer, 66, as the victim in a weekend accident involving a pedestrian on Airport Road.
The incident happened on Saturday evening around midnight.
Officials say Coyer was walking across the road when she was struck by a vehicle.
