Police hope the public can help them identify and arrest the vandals responsible for more than $30,000 in damage to the glass walls of a pedestrian bridge over a busy Mississippi highway.

WLOX in Biloxi reports that in one month, vandals have shattered four of the glass panels of the Gulfport Tramway, which connects a city park with the Mississippi Aquarium and the Coast Transit Authority parking garage. The pedestrian bridge spans over Highway 90 in Gulfport.

Footage from security cameras shows at least one of the vandals jumping onto one of the barriers and then shattering the $6,500 pane of glass.

Officials say four panels on the Gulfport Tramway have been damaged in one month. One of the panels was reportedly broken after a bullet was fired from a car driving under the tramway.

Officials say replacing the glass panels could take up to two months, and will likely include temporarily shutting down traffic on Highway 90.
