Dead body found in trunk at used car lot, near area search for missing Mississippi woman had taken place

A dead body was found Monday morning inside the trunk of a vehicle at a Mississippi used car lot, sheriff’s officials said.
The car lot was near an area where law enforcement had searched over the weekend for a missing woman.
Samantha Elisabeth McCowan, 32, was reported missing early Friday morning after she walked away from a vehicle accident.
Officials said they spent Sunday searching the area near Highway 184.
Jones County Sheriff Joe Berlin told WDAM-TV that the body may be connected to McGowan’s disappearance, but the body had not been positively identified.
