Two people were killed in a head-on collision Thursday evening on a rural Mississippi highway.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol report that both drivers involved in a wreck on Highway 763 in Oktibbeha County died.

The crash happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. Thursday when a southbound car collided with a northbound pickup truck.

Meagan Desemar of Miramar Beach, Florida, who was driver of the car, and Tina Robinson of Mathiston, who was driving the pickup truck died in the wreck.
