Body found near railroad tracks ID’d as Mississippi man reportedly living outside house after fire

The body of a Mississippi man reportedly forced to live outside after a house fire was found along a set of railroad tracks Tuesday afternoon,
WTVA in Tupelo reports that officials from Lowndes County identified the body found by a railroad worker performing a routine inspection.
The body was identified as that of Marty Atkins, 62, who officials believe was living in the area after a fire forced him out of the house he was living in.
Atkins’ body was discovered underneath a downed hunting stand at approximately 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials said foul is not suspected in the case.
