Recent Mississippi high school graduate killed in early morning wreck

A recent Mississippi high school graduate was killed in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning.
The Oxford Eagle reports that recent Kossuth High School graduate Logan Williams, 18, died in a wreck on Highway 30. Williams was set to play college baseball at Holmes Community College in the fall.
Shortly after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to Highway 30 near Oxford Sand and Gravel for a wreck.
According to MHP, Williams was traveling east on Highway 30 when his 2016 Chevrolet Silverado vehicle entered the westbound lane, colliding with a 2022 Kenworth semi-truck driven by Carlton A. Beard, 26, of New Albany.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lafayette County Coroner’s Office.
Williams and his family lived in Lafayette County before moving to Corinth a few years ago.
Thw crash remains under investigation by MHP.
