A Mississippi truck driver died in a Thursday morning wreck.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports that Robert Berryhill III, 49, of Smithdale, died when his 2025 Western Star truck crashed on US 84 in Adams County at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Berryhill was traveling east on US84 when it left the roadway and collided with a creek embankment, according to officials.

Berryhill was pronounced dead on the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
