The popular deep discount grocery chain ALDI continues to focus on opening stores across the Southeastern US, including the latest store to open in Mississippi.
The newest ALDI in Brookhaven welcomed its first shoppers Wednesday morning at 840 Brookway Boulevard. The soft opening offered residents an early look at the 12,000-square-foot store, which promises fresh produce, affordable prices, and a streamlined shopping experience.
Heather Moore, ALDI’s Loxley Division Vice President, expressed her excitement about the store’s warm reception. “We didn’t advertise we were open today, but by 9:01 a.m., customers were already here. It’s humbling to see such passion for our brand,” she said.
This location marks a key expansion for ALDI in Mississippi, nestled between stores in McComb and Flowood. Over the past seven months, the former 601 Sports and Save-A-Lot space was transformed into ALDI’s signature layout, featuring produce, bread, dairy, and meats along the perimeter, with additional grocery and household items in central aisles.
Shoppers will also find the unique ALDI Finds aisle, offering a rotating selection of seasonal food and non-food items. Currently, the aisle features holiday treats, gift ideas, and decorations.
ALDI’s focus on private-label products—90% of its 1,700-item inventory—is key to its affordability. Additionally, regional favorites like Blue Plate mayonnaise and Connecuh sausage are available.
The grand opening celebration begins Thursday at 9 a.m., with the first 100 customers receiving gift bags and chances to win $500 gift cards. ALDI also donated $1,000 to the Mississippi Food Network to mark the occasion.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, offering in-store shopping, self-checkout, curbside pickup, and delivery services.
