Plane registered in Mississippi ran out of fuel when it crashed into cars on Texas highway, FAA preliminary report indicates

A plane registered in Mississippi that crashed into vehicles on a Texas highway was making an emergency landing after running out of fuel Wednesday afternoon.
The Federal Aviation Administration released its initial findings on the cause of the crash, which left five people with injuries, after the plane crashed into three cars in Victoria, Texas, which is southwest of Houston.
According to the plane’s aircraft registration number, the place is owned by MARC INC. in Bolton, located in Hinds County.
Five people, including the pilot of the plane and four people who were in cars, were treated for injuries. Four of the people had non-life-threatening injuries and one person was taken to a hospital out of town for additional medical treatment.
