Darnell Antonio Mills, 38, of McClain, Mississippi, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden to 278 months in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release, for possessing with intent to distribute methamphetamine, announced U.S. Attorney Mike Hurst and Special Agent in Charge Christopher Freeze with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Mills pleaded guilty on December 21, 2018, to one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Mills sold methamphetamine to a confidential source on several occasions. After one such sale, he was stopped by police officers and he attempted to flee by ramming his vehicle into a police officer’s car.

During the course of his conduct, Mills sold over 600 grams of high quality methamphetamine.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney John Meynardie.
