Mississippi pair arrested for child abuse, child deprivation

Two people are facing some serious charges after a school reported an alleged case of child abuse.
The Department of Child Protection Services received a report of alleged child abuse regarding a child that attends one of the local schools in Prentiss County last Thursday.
As a result of the investigation, Gena Jacobs McKee, 50, of Booneville has been charged with three counts of Felonious Child Abuse (Serious Bodily Harm) and Larry Lance McKee, 49, of Booneville, has been charged with Felony Child Deprivation of Necessaries with Substantial Harm.
Justice Court Judge Craig Bishop set Gena Jacobs McKee’s bond at $150,000.00 and Larry Lance McKee’s bond at $25,000.00.
Investigator Torie Jumper is in charge of the case. Assisting in the case were Prentiss County School Resource Officers Tyler Reece and Brandon Slack.
The case will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.
