Tate Reeves pranked into reading fake name as he honored graduates. His response was priceless.

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves has been systematically reading aloud the names of thousands of Mississippi graduates in online videos. And hidden in the staggering number of names, a phony name slipped through the, well, cracks.

Reeves on Sunday morning during in a Facebook Live read the name of a fictitious graduate – Harry Azcrac. If you didn’t catch the junior high humor here, stop and read the name again.

It was clearly a moment fans of shock jock Howard Stern would be proud of.

But Reeves took the prank in stride, jokingly responding on Twitter that, “In 10 minutes we’ll be honoring more graduates on Facebook Live. Maybe even Ben – the pride of the Dover family.”

Reeves further noted that, “Harry’s submitter has a bright future as a Simpson’s writer!”

It’s good to know Reeves has a good sense of humor about the matter, but shame on the juvenile-mind that took away the seriousness of the governor’s efforts to try and make the pandemic-interrupted graduations a little more special for Mississippi students.
