“Thursday night around 10:30 I received a message letting me know that dangerous people were looking for me because they wanted to kill me,” Lindemann said.

Lindemann said the threats began after he announced he wanted to launch an investigation into the Meridian Police Department. At a press conference last Thursday, Lindemann also threatened to file a lawsuit against current Mayor Percy Bland for not hiring a police chief in a timely manner.

Lindemann also alleges in the video that Bland is behind some of the threats.

“He obviously had input into the decision to have people try to kill me,” Lindemann said in the video.

Bland denied the accusations to local new sources and said he recommends Lindemann seek help from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations or the FBI.
